Smashing Anurag-ISMS!!

I have had the red smash book for a year now! I finally worked on the cover. I am going to write down all the funny and smart ass things anurag says! He is one chatter box! Sorry for the poor quality pic, its from my phone.

I painted the background with liquitex soft body colors and then used Tim holtz grunge alphabets for the title. I altered them and finally finished the cover with a layer of mod podge.

Hope you like it!

Timeless Chiclectic!

This weeks Tuesday Trigger Chiclectic over at Moxie Fab has some vibrant amazing colors! Check it out! You have time until midnight tonight to enter.

The colors..pink,orange,antique gold, black and the blue just jumped at me! It actually reminded me of a saree I have ! My card is totally inspired by the colors. The antique gold just spoke timeless to me. I made this card for my inlaws 42nd anniversary! The word 'timeless' is perfect for them! I made some ribbon flowers, it was my first time! It is addictive:D The flourishes background is inspired by the antique gold work on the bed frame. It is so beautiful! I used CTMH flourishes stamp for the background. Heat embossed it with Hampton Arts antique gold powder. Used Irock to set the gems. All the ribbons are from Michaels dollar bins! Hope you feel inspired by my card! Thanks for looking:-)

Baby Wishes !

A friend of mine is busy organizing a baby shower for someone. I made these for her. She sent me a picture of something similar, it was printed on white cardstock. We had left over cardstock from the favors, so used that. Colorful and fun! I just loved the whole idea of people filling them out and writing all fun stuff. It would be cool to sit and read it and add it to the baby book!

It was really simple to make, it took about 6-7 hours.I didn't use pazzles!! I wish I did though, it would have been much faster and I would have saved a ton of time. I used fiskars rotary trimmer and big shot for everything. I did the text on google documents and printed them out on white cardstock. Used my Zutter corner round it all for the rounded corners. It is super easy to use and I got perfect corners everytime. I got mine from Tuesday Morning for 14 dollars! Good Deal:-). I used my labels nestabilities for the little tags on the top. Added some ribbon, used big bite to make the holes. Hope you like it!

Oh and Just for fun! Anurag made a tree when I arranged them all in a circle! Cute!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Best Occasional Pastel Cardstock
Tools: Fiskars (Trimmer, Scissors), Spellbinder Nestabilities (Labels), Big Shot, Big Bite, Zutter Corner Round-It-All

Fancy Schmancy Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger!

I love Moxie Fab World! If that is something you haven't checked out yet, you sure should! Lovely challenges and full of inspiration! This weeks tuesday trigger is below and if you want to participate in it, you can go here and submit your entry!

I made three Valentine cards for my hubs and all of which he ended up seeing :) I am very bad at hiding them..around the house and on the computer! LOL...so I have told him this is my last attempt, so he better not see it! I saw this challenge on moxie fab and couldn't resist! First off, this cake looks so yummmm! I love the subtle colors..the pink, beige, white, the pearls on top and the dark chocolate color just makes the cake pop! The pearls inspired me to use my cuttlebug dots embossing folder for the background. I love the peachy pink! I did the key and the twine in chocolate color to add a little pop to the card. This stamp set is one of my favorites by CTMH. I stamped the sentiment using Desert Sand Memento Ink totally inspired by the mousse filling in the cake! Well I had a lot of fun making this card, can't wait to see what is the next trigger! I hope you like it:)

I love color challenges! This month's color palette by Market Street Stamps is so cool!

I made two cards to fit this challenge! I used my new background stamps which I ordered last month! (Insert a big grin here :-) )I am totally addicted to their background stamps! I had to use the sentiment from some random stamp set as I am yet to get the MSS Simple Joys Set. It is a fabulous set with all kinds of words you might need for a card or even a layout, not to mention a very fun font! I hope they make a alphabet stamp set soon. Wouldn't that be cool!! Here are my two cards based on the colors given. Hope you like it, I sure do ;)!

If It's Groovy Birthday Bloghop!

Hearty welcome to If It's Groovy Birthday Bloghop! If you are hopping along you should have arrived here from Jean's blog.

I picked the letter "A", since it is the first letter of my son's name. I have always wanted to make a banner for my son's playroom.

I got the plain white letters from Joann's and used Mod Podge to glue the pattern paper onto them. I did two layers of Mod Podge. The pattern paper is by DCWV and it is called Animal Crackers. I love this collection!. I added a few chipboard hearts on the letter to decorate ( which my husband said is girly!). My son loves it and he even counted the hearts on them! Well, that's what matters the most! Hopefully, soon he will learn how to spell his name!

not go back and share some love with the Groovy Chicks so we know what you thought of our one day hop. Here is a list of all the designers!

Thanks for looking! Hope you had a fun hop!

MSS Paint the Town Color Challenge for January!

I used a bit of burlap and hearts plenty background stamps by Market Street Stamps on this card. I cut out the word love on pazzles. Stamped a bit of burlap on it. I made 3/4 inch squares and rounded the corner on pazzles and stamped bit of burlap on that as well.

I love these colors together! So cheerful:-)I doodled with my white uniball pen on the little squares and finished it with some twine. This card is based on a pretty old sketch by Jeanette Lynton. I hope you like it and thanks for visiting me today!

Gate Crashing!

I had fun creating this one for IIG. I created a layout where the amount of positive space is almost equal to the amount of negative space. I used acrylic paint for the background. I trimmed my photos in different sizes to give the layout some interesting lines. Then glued my pictures on the painted area, randomly spaced. Then I placed a piece of yellow card stock on both sides of the pictures to hold it all together. I placed my title and the journaled on the yellow cardstock and that's it! Hope you like what I did!
