My Crafty Abode!

Well i have been busy trying to organize my scrap space. I got one expedit system with the table and the Sauder Project Organizer(from Sears), a chair and some Glis containers, bygel rod, bygel containers and some Lexmar boxes from Ikea. I need to get a table lamp from Ikea. I am so totally excited to start creating now! I need to sort out my loose ribbons. I have just stuffed them in a box for now. I want to make my own paper cards and store them on that. I thought of having them outside like visible. But I am sure they will get dirty because of the dust. I prefer putting them in glis containers and rubbermaids. The table still has things which need sorting. Need to get started with ordering photos now. Tell me how it looks! Any ideas on organization are welcome!

Thanks to my dear husband, Sid who put it together and helped me organize my stuff. Love You!

Stamping on Canvas!

I was lucky to get some goodies for a stamping challenge on fiskateers from Tami, one of the lead fiskateers! Thanks Tami and Fiskars!!! I chose to do a canvas card for the challenge! I totally love the Henna Petals Stamp Set. It is so versatile!!

Canvas has a heavy bumpy grain( i read this somewhere..and now I second it!), which makes it tough to get a good image like you do on a cardstock. If you like the distressed faded look, you will like canvas! I had the fortune of using a gorgeous stamp set, the Henna Petals.

Step 1. Cut 4 strips of canvas in 1.5″ X 3.5 ” size.

Step 2. Stamp the image on 3 of the strips and fray the edges for the cool look. Pull along until you get the amount of fray that you want — you can’t fray beyond the thread sewn around, so just keep pulling until you like the look.

Step 3.Take a piece of kraft cardstock, adhere it on the card and adhere these canvas strips with even distance on the cardstock.

Step 4.Take the 4th strip of canvas, stamp the image you like and color it with markers and fray the edges. Adhere it on a brown cardstock.

Step 5.Adhere the 4th strip of canvas on the card and cut a small strip of canvas, stamp your sentiment and fray the edges and adhere it on the cardstock. Adhere the sentiment to the card as well. Add a bow for dimension!

I had tons of fun making this card! I hope you all like it! I love fiskars!

Thanks to the Online Crop at Fiskateers, I got my mojo back!

I finally got my mojo back and I finished tons of challenges. With most of my stuff still in boxes, it was difficult. I had fun though making these cards after a long time with whatever I had outside. I even made my first ATC ever!! And I totally loved it! They are addicting for sure! I altered a bottle. I am totally enjoying dry embossing on big shot! It is so COOL! I think I am addicted! I am loving the 3 cuttlebug embossing folder I bought. There are a few more which are really pretty and on my list! I am so looking forward to setting up my room and getting started on the layouts! I have so much catching up to do! Well have a good weekend everyone! Will post more later!
