Happy Birthday -Fun Being One!!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout! I really wanted to make a banner! We had so many banners and all the decorations were red, yellow, blue and green at Anurag's first bday party. So I stuck with those basic colors and created everything with that! I found an article on how to make banners on about.com! I love that site! Pretty simple and straightforward ! This is again one of Allison's Sketches. Although I changed the embellishments and added extra journaling and added the lines to the border of the page. That really gave the whole layout a pop!I used a pic of Anurag's cake as a embellisment too! Although he didn't get to cut that one! Shilpa made a special vegan cake for him!
All the paper is from DCWV Brights Cardstock stack!I used stamp sets from Inkadinkado and CTMH!

Now That's What I call a PARTY!!!!!

Love these photos of anurag. We had so much fun clicking these. He was so HAPPY!!! He got up the next day and found these balloons on the floor and started chasing them! Sid was trying to get his attention and make him crawl behind him! I was clicking! I just had to scrap these! He enjoyed this much more than the party!

The balloons were quite some work! I have stamped each of them to give them some more dimension. They are all from DCWV Brights Cardstock.I have add the twine for the thread on the balloons. I need to get fabri tac or something.

I have used DCWV brights card stock stack, CTMH stamps, Clear Dollar Stamps, Inkadinkado Stamps,Threading Water Border Punch,Thickers and the stripes is from a paper company stack.

This is based on Sketch 11 from Sketch support! The balloons are inspired from one of Allison's old layout. Thanks for the wonderful sketches Allison!

A Walk to Remember........

I love these photos. Thank you Sid for clicking these. These are so special....I wanted to scrap these photos and then I saw this sketch challenge on DCWV Diary. I knew it would be perfect for my photos. I looked for some pattern paper. But nothing was working with the pics and the look I wanted. Then I remembered this amazing fiskars stamp set I have and beautiful pastel card stock papers by DCWV. I knew that was a good start. I love that the card stock is textured. Gives that vintage and distressed look when you stamp on it! It is perfect! It is true about distress inks...once you start distressing..you can't stop!!! I distressed everything! I am in love with the DCWV Cardstock! It works great for distressing! The gorgeous circle (I had to make the circle 4 times!!I stamped something on it which I didn't like later,Distressed it too dark, Spelling mistake and then the fourth time the marker was too dark..fifth time was a charm;)), the journaling strips, the butterflies, background, stamped pattern paper..even the lace!! Ofcourse now my beautiful white chair has some ink spots and I still have inky hands! I washed my hands half a dozen times:D I loved loved this whole process!! I have never done such a layout before. This is my first!! Hope you like it :)
The journaling reads....it is not very clear in the photo...
" You love to hold my hand and walk. Your hands are so soft!!You pull my hand to take me where you want to go. You love to pick up the leaves. I love you so much ..(hearts)"
