If It's Groovy Birthday Bloghop!

Hearty welcome to If It's Groovy Birthday Bloghop! If you are hopping along you should have arrived here from Jean's blog.

I picked the letter "A", since it is the first letter of my son's name. I have always wanted to make a banner for my son's playroom.

I got the plain white letters from Joann's and used Mod Podge to glue the pattern paper onto them. I did two layers of Mod Podge. The pattern paper is by DCWV and it is called Animal Crackers. I love this collection!. I added a few chipboard hearts on the letter to decorate ( which my husband said is girly!). My son loves it and he even counted the hearts on them! Well, that's what matters the most! Hopefully, soon he will learn how to spell his name!

not go back and share some love with the Groovy Chicks so we know what you thought of our one day hop. Here is a list of all the designers!

Thanks for looking! Hope you had a fun hop!

Canvas Collage!

So I have been thinking of getting some Mod Podge for a long time. I finally got the matte mod podge last weekend. I have always liked quilting pattern and I am obsessed with birds right now! :-)
The size of the canvas is 14X14. I cut 2 by 6 inch strips of paper. I used sunshine lollipop collection(Wee Bundle) by Sassafras Lass. I love this collection! Beautiful colors and patterns. I painted the canvas edge using some acrylic paints. I did some random brush strokes trying to capture some of the colors from the collection. I mod podged the paper onto the canvas, arranging the paper so it's pleasing to the eye.
I cut out the birds sitting on branches using pazzles on brown cardstock. Mod Podged that onto canvas and gave three coats of Mod Podge to finish it. I love the result! I think it will make a nice gift. It was quick and simple to make. I love how the mod podge looks like brush strokes once dry. Well, I hope you like it!

My Crafty Abode!

Well i have been busy trying to organize my scrap space. I got one expedit system with the table and the Sauder Project Organizer(from Sears), a chair and some Glis containers, bygel rod, bygel containers and some Lexmar boxes from Ikea. I need to get a table lamp from Ikea. I am so totally excited to start creating now! I need to sort out my loose ribbons. I have just stuffed them in a box for now. I want to make my own paper cards and store them on that. I thought of having them outside like visible. But I am sure they will get dirty because of the dust. I prefer putting them in glis containers and rubbermaids. The table still has things which need sorting. Need to get started with ordering photos now. Tell me how it looks! Any ideas on organization are welcome!

Thanks to my dear husband, Sid who put it together and helped me organize my stuff. Love You!
